Bugville Critters
A Friendly Race About Cooperation, Fair Play, and Knowing When to Share the Work
By R. Stanek (Robert Stanek)
Dag Dragonfly and Willy Wasp begin the Four Meadows Flyer’s Loop as determined rivals. A powerful headwind drains their energy and pushes Willy toward a course marker, forcing both flyers to recognize that fighting the weather and each other may keep either one from reaching Big Tree Hill safely.
They take turns flying in front so the other can rest, then resume the race when the gust weakens. The too-close-to-call finish becomes a satisfying tie, and the rivals discover that competition can remain exciting while still making room for safety, cooperation, and respect.
